Test Criteria

1. “Normal” serum uric acid is 7.5 to 8.5 mg/dL.
2. “Optimal” serum uric acid is less than 6 mg/dL.
3. “Normal” 24-hour urine uric acid is 750 mg.
4. “Optimal” 24 Hour urine uric acid is less than 600 mg.
