X-ray of the Apicogram test is used to visualise the lung apices (uppermost portion of lungs), the first few ribs, the collarbone and the surrounding soft tissues like skin and muscles.
This test is prescribed by the doctor to diagnose suspected tuberculosis or other infection of the lungs, to diagnose any abnormal growth (tumors) of this region and to look for any signs of chronic diseases like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
