Test Criteria
The X-Ray Right Knee Skyline View is an inferior-superior X-ray projection visualizing the top and bottom half of the knee joint. This view is mainly done for patients who can sit at a 45 degrees position on the examination table.
It is used to diagnose a knee joint fracture and monitor its healing. It can also diagnose infections and knee bone disorders. If you have symptoms like knee pain, tenderness, swelling, or joint distortion, then your doctor may recommend this test. Medically, it may be used post-fracture to assess the progress of bone healing and alignment.
