Test Criteria

X-Ray for knee joints is an imaging technique to assess the knee joint for alignment, bone quality and the extent of a degenerative changes within the knee. Lateral(LAT) views are taken by placing the X-ray beam sideways of the patient respectively.

It is advised by the doctor to detect any fracture, injury, osteoarthiritis and other knee disorders. Common symptoms of an knee disorder include pain, tenderness, swelling and deformity of the knee.

X-Ray for both knees, also known as bilateral x-ray is recommended if a physician suspects the symptoms of arthiritis.

Pregnant women should inform the physician about their condition.”
