Test Criteria

X-ray of the shoulder is a test to visualise the area of the shoulder including the shoulder joint, the collar bone (clavicle), the shoulder blade (scapula), bone of the upper arm (head of humerus) and the soft tissues (skin and muscles) surrounding it.

This test is prescribed by the doctor to diagnose any suspected shoulder dislocation, frozen shoulder, and arthritis of this joint and to monitor the healing of the broken shoulder, after it has been set.
