Description
Test Criteria
The area of the elbow includes the bones of the forearm, upper arm, and elbow joint. In Anterior-Posterior (AP) projection, X-rays pass from the front to the back of the patient. The lateral view is taken from the patient’s side. This detects fractures, dislocations surrounding the elbow joint. An X-ray uses radiation to create a picture of the area. A radiologist will assess the images and send a report.
It diagnoses any fractured bones of the elbow joint, infections, osteoporosis, and arthritis.
